Swedish passion
Jamida (pronounced Ya-mee-da) was founded in 2014 by Joakim Sohlberg on the picturesque Swedish island of Öland. Until then, Joakim had worked in the Scandinavian housewares industry for a long time, so the conditions were perfect. His mission: "We are passionate about creating beautiful and practical household products with exclusive patterns in high-quality materials."
To achieve this, Jamida works with successful artists such as Emma J Shipley, Michael Angove, Asta Barrington, Bessie Johanson, Ulrica Hydman Vallien, Johan Persson and Jerry Roupe, who create exclusive collections and designs.
Jamida is also a role model when it comes to quality & sustainability: the popular trays are lovingly handcrafted from FSC-certified birch wood in Joakim's native Öland. The porcelain cups are made from the highest quality Fine Bone China porcelain (considered the pinnacle of the Chinese art of porcelain making for centuries) in Germany. And the super cute coasters are handmade in England.
